David Duncan eyes return to Kumasi Asante Kotoko

Former Ashantigold Coach David Duncan has set sight on the vacant role at Kumasi Asante Kotoko following the sacking of Steve Pollack on Friday.

The ex-Kotoko gaffer wants a return to the club despite the controversial circumstances in which he was sacked two seasons ago.

Coach Steve Pollack was sacked after the club's inability to progress to the second round of the CAF Confederations Cup. The Porcupine Warriors lost to CARA Brazzaville 6-7 on penalties and after meeting with the hierarchy of the Club the Englishman was sacked.

Information reaching footballghana.com indicates, former Black Starlets Coach Paa Kwesi Fabin is set to be appointed the new manager of the club.

However, former Coach of the Reds, David Duncan has expressed interest in the job.

"If kotoko needs my services, I will gladly go because coaching is not a demotion," Duncan indicated on Happy FM's Wamputu Sports.

Kotoko will however focus on domestic football and will begin the Ghana Premier League with a game at WAFA on the opening weekend.
