Debutant Patrick Twumasi seeks to earn Ghana AFCON Qualification.

FC Astana striker Patrick Twumasi claims he wants to make the best out of his Black stars call up by putting in his best to help secure an AFCON qualification for Ghana.

The Kazakhstan based forward was one of three debutants named in Avram Grant’s 23-man squad to face Mauritius on Sunday, 05 June away.

On Monday, he was among 18 players who trained at the Accra Sports Stadium under Grant. Twumasi, a graduate from the defunct Red Bull Academy, wants to make the most of the opportunity handed him.

“For me it doesn’t matter about my position in the team the most important things is to qualify for the Africa Cup of Nation. That is the most beautiful thing I can say.”

Twumasi who has already represented Ghana at youth level will now be available to earns his debut call-up to the senior national team after scoring two goals for FC Astana in this season’s UEFA Champions
