Ghana defender Masahudu Alhassan has joined Albanian topflight side FK Teuta Durres on a two year deal after leaving Italy.

The Ghanaian, who previously played for Genoa, Udinese and Perugia has left Italy for Albania after successfully passing his medicals on Sunday.

The left back was close to joining Slovenian side NK Maribor but the move collapsed at the last minute. He was on trials with Capri after terminating his contact with Perugia last August.

Masahudu Alhassan was a member of the Black Stars team that played at the Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon-Equatorial Guinea 2012.

He will be presented officially to the Teuta fans at the Niko Dovana Stadium within this week.
