Derby County are set to review the position of current manager Steve McClaren at the end of the season.
Derby currently sit in 10th position in the Sky Bet Championship and are ten points off the play off places, looking unlikely to reach them at the end of the season, especially with their current poor form.
This had ledthe boardto potentially reviewing his position at the end of the season, according to The Sun.
The Rams lost 3-0 to Championship rivals Brighton on Friday, which continued their run or poor form with them only winning one of their last nine games. This awful run has put them way behind in the play-off battle, and near enough out of contention for a playoff spot all together.
It is McClaren's second spell in charge of Derby, after he left his last spell to manage then Premier League side Newcastle, which didn't turn out very well. This time he took over from Nigel Pearson at Derby after a dismal start to the season for the Rams.
However, the current Derby County boss has been unable to really turn around their season after taking over from Nigel Pearson, and the owners are not afraid to make the call and sack their manager.
Owner Mel Morris spent a lot of money in trying to get the side into the Premier League and will be looking to where things went wrong. Potentially looking at what McClaren has done wrong since taking over and not being able to swing things in the right direction for the club.
