Former Ghana player Derek Boateng has joined Gibraltar side Europa FC as a player-coach.

The 35-year old is gradually ending his football career and with his passion of still staying in the game he has taken up this new challenge.

Boateng is expected to join Europa FC as a player-coach as he looks to transition into club management.

This will be the 13th team the Ghanaian will be playing for abroad since joining Kalamata in Greece in 199.

He has previously played for Panathinaikos, AIK, Beitar Jerusalem, FC Köln, Getafe, Dnipro Dnipropetrovsk, Fulham, Rayo Vallecano, Eibar 13 and Rayo OKC.

Boateng earned 47 caps and scored once for the Ghana national team.
