Atletico Madrid boss Diego Simeone seems to have reassured the club's fans that he will be staying in the Spanish capital, after commenting on his words following the soul crushing defeat to city rivals Real in the Champions League final in May.
The Argentine toldGoal.com, "I spoke heatedly, us Argentines are like this.The others do not take the blame for beating you, I learnt that with time. You have to remember the pain and suffering, because it is necessary to then get over it.

"I don't think there are many better teams than us.To be better than Atletico is hard, because we play as a team.At every corner of the club, it's now been four and a half years that we are constantly eager to improve.The only teams better than us are Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich, no one else."
There had been growing speculation that Simeone could be interested in managing the Argentine national team, following their defeat to Chile on penalties in the final of the Copa America for the secondconsecutiveyear.
However, these latest comments would suggest that the fiery boss will stay at the Vicente Calderon Stadium for at least another season. One player who will beplayingunder the tutelage ofSimeone yet again will be French sensation Antoine Griezmann, who signed a contract extension with theLos Colchoneros.
Atletico right back Juanfran wasparticularlydelighted with the striker's choice to commit his long termfuture for the club, saying, "Grizzi's renewal is something that has made us all very happy. Koke and I knew something about him before the news broke, although we could not say anything.
"We need Griezmann because he has been one of the cornerstones of Atletico for the last few years. He is happy, he feels comfortable here, and we are delighted with him because he is a fantastic player and person."
