Division One clubs directed to wear red and black armbands to show solidarity to Asante Kotoko

The Division One League Board has directed that all clubs in the league must wear black arm bands in this weekend’s Day Twenty-one (21) league matches.

This is in solidarity with Kumasi Asante Kotoko who suffered a tragic on the Nkawkaw highway enroute from Accra after their Premier League match against Inter Allies.

Whiles expressing its sadness at the death of Kotoko’s deputy Equipment officer Thomas Asare and injuries to some players and Officials, the board wishes to remind clubs that DOL games will come on as planned.

Clubs are however advised to ensure that their drivers and  travelling vehicles are good conditions before setting off to venues for their respective games.
