Djibouti Coach Fatouma Moussa confident Ghana will make an impact at the FIFA U-17 Women World Cup

Coach of the female under-17 team of Djibouti, Fatouma Moussa says the Black Maidens will be good representatives of Africa at the FIFA World Cup in Uruguay later this year.

The Black Maidens thrashed Djibouti 10-0 in Cape Coast on Sunday, recording a 19-0 aggregate score line to qualify for the World Cup in Uruguay.

Following the heavy defeat, Coach of Djibouti Fatouma Moussa praised the Black Maidens for their spirited performance and added the team can make an impact at the World Cup.

“Like Nigeria, Ghana is a very strong team on the continent so we are happy they will represent Africa at the World Cup,” she said after the game.

“There are better teams in the World but in Africa Ghana can make an impact at the World Cup,” she added.

The Black Maidens will represent the continent together with Nigeria and South Africa.

Having reached the quarter finals in the last edition in Jordan, he Black Maiden will look to go much further as they still remain the only female team to pick medals at the World Cup after finishing third in Azerbaijan.
