I don’t see why Black Stars players fight over bonuses – Kim Grant

Former Black Stars striker Kim Grant has questioned the patriotism of the Black stars players wondering why they fight over match bonuses.

Kim Grant who played for Ghana from 1996-1997 and was capped in seven competitive games with a goal to his credit says he does not understand why the current players of the senior national team fight over bonuses.

The Black Stars attempted to boycott training during the 2014 FIFA world cup and were also involved in a row with management over their appearance fee leading to a physical assault on Moses Armah Parker a then management member.

Speaking to Starr FM, Kim Grant thinks the current players make enough money from club side and should not brawl over money at national team level.

“I don't see why Black Stars players fight over bonuses, they earn enough at their respective clubs.” He said.

Kim Grant is currently the technical director of Ebusua Dwarfs and has played a major role in the team’s rise from the relegation zone after thumping Kotoko 4-1 in Cape Coast coupled with recent impressive results in the Ghana premier league.
