President of AshantiGold, Dr Kwaku Frimpong claims he is ready to bet with one of his flashy cars for a win over regional rivals Asante Kotoko.
The Miners travel to face the Porcupine Warriors on Sunday in the first leg of a friendly tie dubbed the ‘Golden Clash’.
This will be the second batch of a friendly tie to be played by Kotoko after their 4-0 aggregate victory over Hearts of Oak.
Confidence is high in the camp of AshGold and Dr Frimpong who was once in the gunning to be handed the management reigns as Kotoko has sworn to lead the Miners to victory against the Porcupine Warriors.
Dr Frimpong who is popularly referred to as Champion is in such a bullish mood that he is ready to wage on one of his flashy fleet of cars.
“If I don’t score Kotoko on Sunday I will give out my car before I leave the stadium," he said in an interview with the press.
"We will score Kotoko 2 nil in Kumasi and if care is not taken 4nil in Obuasi. The game is Champion vs. Dr Kyei."
"He is my brother but I will beat him on Sunday.”
The types of luxury cars in the fleet of Dr Frimpong include a Bentley, Ferrari and Rolls Royce.
