Dr. Kyei's promises will not put us under pressure - Amos Frimpong

Asante Kotoko skipper, Amos Frimpong, says they are not under pressure to deliver after huge promises made to the players by the Executive Chairman of the club, Dr Kwame Kyei.

The business mogul has promised each Asante Kotoko player 2-bedroom apartment should they win this year’s CAF Confederation Cup and each player pocketing GHC 200,000 should the team reach the money zone of the competition.

However, many football enthusiasts believe the pledges made by Dr Kyei will put the payers under pressure to deliver but the skipper says they are not perturbed about the promises made to them.

“We know what goes on in the club. For instance, those of us who have been [around] for some years now; we know how the supporters react when things are going well,” he told Angel FM.

“What Dr Kyei said was pleasing to the ears but when you [get to the] platform to perform, what comes after it when you give your best, is better than what he promised.

“What doctor promised is good but it’s not putting pressure on us. We are fully focused,” he added.

The Porcupine Warriors will host CARA Brazzaville at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday.
