Newly Promoted Ghana Premier League side Dreams FC held a scouting exercise in Obuasi to identify talents as they look forward to next season in the topflight.

The scouting exercise lasted for two days and it is expected the club will pick some of the best performers whom they will groomed into the team.

Over 500 young individuals including others from neighboring communities like Bekwai and Edubiase turned up at the Black Park for the exercise last Saturday as top executives of the club combed through for the next soccer star.

President Jiji Alifoe who heads the scouting department of the club disclosed to dreamsfc.com.gh the motive behind the initiative of holding the exercise beyond the borders of Accra.

“It is important that we give others who may not be able to come to us in Accra the chance to show what they have.”

“These kids have something, we have enjoyed the exercise and I am positive about the outcome. Hopefully we shall pick few super talents back to Accra”, he concluded.

The Dawu-based club have spotted and groomed some raw talents into stars, with the likes of Baba Rahman, John Antwi and Emmanuel Adjei Swah a few to mention.

Recently, midfielder Emmanuel Lomotey was one of the players to make headways after excelling at the WAFU Cup. He has joined Spanish lower tier side Extramadura UD.
