Rejuvenated Ebusua Dwarfs target Top 4 finish

The Chief Executive Officer of Cape Coast Mysterious Dwarfs, Nana Aidoo, has predicted a top four finish for his club at the end of the ongoing Premier League.

“Our aim is to play in the top four tournament,” the Dwarfs boss declared in an interview with the Daily Graphic yesterday, following the club’s historic 1-0 away victory over Techiman City last Sunday.

From a hopeless bottom placing at the end of the first round, Dwarfs have risen to mid-table in a dramatic fashion in the second round and hope to get even better with seven games to end the season.

Nana Aidoo attributed the rejuvenation of Dwarfs mainly to the handiwork of God and the change in the technical direction of the club.

After amassing only 13 points from 11 matches, the management of the club decided to take a risk by parting ways with veteran Coach Joseph Emmanuel Sarpong, and replacing him with unsung Prosper Narteh Ogum, while appointing former Ghanaian international, Kim Grant, as the Techical Director.

That crucial decision, according to the CEO, has turned around the club’s fortunes, leading to their current ninth position on the table with 30 points.

He also mentioned the inclusion of seven new players during the second window registration as a contributing factor to the club’s impressive showing of late.

He said Dwarfs would fight hard for another important victory against league leaders, Wa All Stars, at Cape Coast on Saturday.
