Elmina Sharks and Karela United interested in signing Christopher Bonney

Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko right back Christopher Bonney has emerged the transfer target of newly promoted Ghana Premier League side Karela United, according to reports.

The 25 year old who is also on the radar of Elmina Sharks terminated his contract with Ebusua Dwarfs due to unpaid wages and salaries just a season with the crabs.

Christopher Bonney was ever-present in the Dwarfs side that finished an impressive sixth position playing 23 games and providing three assists.

According to close sources the two clubs have shown interest in the player with Bonney considering joining one of the sides.

Karela gained promotion to the top flight league after winning Zone II of the division one league with 71 points, a whooping 25 points gap established with second place New Edubise.

The Club are currently on a preseason tour in Cote D’Ivoire where they are expected to play in friendlies against Asec Mimosa and others.

Meanwhile Elmina Sharks had a good debut season in the Ghana Premier League where they finished 9th at the end of the season.
