Elmina Sharks coach Kobina Ammisah happy with his side’s achievement

Head coach of Elmina Sharks, Kobina Ammisah says he is proud of his team’s achievement in the GN Bank Division One league.

Elmina Sharks was declared winners of Zone Two of the GN Bank Division One League and have been promoted to the Ghana Premier League (GPL) next season.

Sharks secured 66 points, 10 more than second placed Karela FC.

At the brief coronation event held after their Day 29 match against Nzema Kotoko, Sharks were awarded with a trophy, a plaque and medals for all players and technical team members for topping the zone.

“It feels very good because if you take a good look to our qualification, we are really proud of it.” Kobina Ammisah told Asempa Sports in an interview.

“This is the first a team from the Komenda Edina Akwafo Constituency has qualified to play in the league and our president is really happy about our achievement.

“We played our last match against King Faisal and it ended in a one all draw. We have started our preparations to for the league but we have to make some changes in the team before we start the season.

Quizzed if he is optimistic he will remain at the club as the head coach, Coach Ammisah said, “I have coached a lot of the premier league teams and I am not surprise we playing in the league. If the management and the president of the club want me out, I will have no problem but as it stands I am very optimistic of remaining here as the head coach of the club.
