Head Coach of Elmina Sharks Kwabena Amissah has been asked to proceed on a two match leave after disappointing results in the Ghana Premier League.

Sharks are currently 12th position on the League table but just a point above relegation, a worrying situation for owner Paa Kwesi Nduom.

The astute business man and politician in a radio interview said, “I met executive of the supporters’ union, coach and management team. I have also met with the entire playing body including the technical team and management and even with the coach alone,”

“I told them what I want but when you look at what is going on, it’s not the best. There are a lot of happening in the team. The attitudes of the players with the coach and the management and the supporters’ union is worrying,”

“They are a lot unpleasant news around the team so this has necessitated a change,”

“On Sunday, I have asked the best 11 be selected for the match against Hearts of Oak. With the current happenings I have asked Coach Amissah to go on a two game leave. Coach Amissah won’t lead the team against Hearts.”

Elmina Sharks will host Accra Hearts of Oak on Sunday in Elmina.
