Europa FC midfielder Rahim Ayew out for three weeks with injury

Ghana International Rahim Ayew will be out for 21 days after picking an injury at club side Europa FC in the Gibraltar top flight league. 

The son of the legendary Abedi Ayew picked up the injury in the game against Lincoln FC at the Victoria Stadium.

The strong midfielder hopped off in the 55th minute and was examined on Monday to determine the extent of the injury.

A scan revealed he will be out for three weeks.

The Ghanaian has been an integral part of Europa FC and was named man of the match in their victory over Mon Calpe last week.

Rahim Ayew was part of the Black Stars team that reach the quarter finals of the FIFA World Cup in 2010 in South Africa.

He previously played for Kotoko, Zamalek and Nania FC.
