Yannick Bolasie has made his long awaited return for Everton after featuring for the U23 team against Leicester U23's on Monday.
Bolasie has not played for the first team since suffering a serious knee injury against Manchester United in the 1-1 draw last December.
He is now set to go back into the first team picture, even though he may need a few substitute appearances before being able to start.
He has been training with the first team since November, building up his match fitness and getting himself sharp for the business end of the Premier League season. And he is delighted to be back.
"Playing again was overwhelming," Bolasie said.
"When I got on I felt good. I knew about two weeks ago I was going to play in this game so it's good.
"There wasn't any nerves. Now that I've played the 30 minutes there isn't any. Maybe before there was some because it's been a long time."
Everton will be pleased with the timing of his return, with the club struggling to get up the Premier League table after a disastrous start.
New manager Sam Allardyce will be hoping that Bolasie can offer a different threat, in a team that is stacked with central attacking midfielders.
