Everton chief Steve Walsh is targeting a reunion with Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy.
The Liverpool Echo says Walsh was head of recruitment at Leicester City when Vardy joined from non-league Fleetwood Town in a deal worth in excess of £1m.
Vardy, 31, scored in 11 consecutive Premier League games as Leicester won the 2015-16 title and has 19 England caps to his name.
The Leicester striker has bagged 56 goals in 134 Premier League appearances.
Walsh is keen to be reunited with Vardy but finds himself under mounting pressure after a wretched season in which Everton have spent around £200m on transfers.
