Former Accra Hearts of Oak captain and linchpin Karim Alhassan is the latest top addition to the fold of sensational Division One side Phar Rangers FC. The experienced centre joins Phar Rangers on an eight-month deal after his stint with Sudanese side Al Merreikh. Karim, 26, has had spells with a plethora of clubs including Zamalek, Adana Dermispor, Black Leopards, Radnicki Kragujevac and Liberty Professionals. The former nation under-20 star is keen on helping the club garner a respectable place on the Division League log while bringing his vast experience to bear on the younger players. Chairman of Phar Rangers, Nana Yaw Amponsah expressed his elation at the acquisition of the experienced rear guard who was a fans favourite during his time on the local scene. “We’re happy with the acquisition of Karim Alhassan. He’s not the kind of player who needs an introduction locally and he wields a wealth of experience which we trust will be used to help the club in its bid to make it a model club in the country.” Nana Yaw Amponsah asserted. Karim Alhassan’s signature adds up to the litany of top guns who have joined the high flying second tier side in the last week which include Eric Nii Baah, John Kwaku Owusu and Ben Bessa Zola.
