Okwahu United will play their round of 16 MTN FA Cup game with Hasaacas at the Nkawkaw Park this Sunday despite earlier reports that the former premier league side wanted to withdraw from the competition.

The supporters of the Kwahu based side managed to convince their president Bryan Acheampong who initially called for the team’s withdrawal from the competition.

The supporters leadership has assured that they will help the police arrest any fan who put up a bad behaviour at any match of Okwawu United.

Checks at the Ghana Football Association reveal that the former FA Cup champions wrote a letter of withdrawal from the competition.

In addition to this, CEO of the club Francis Anum has also rescinded his decision on resigning after calls were made for him to stay.

The players have resumed training and will be battle ready for Hasaacas on Sunday.
