EXCLUSIVE: Techiman City inform GFA their decision to quit the Ghana Premier League

Newly promoted Ghana premier league side Techiman City have written to the Ghana Football Association, notifying them their decision not to continue playing in the Ghana Premier League.

Club President Charles Kwadwo Ntim, popularly known as Micky Charles who had earlier hinted his plans to withdraw from the League served the Ghana Football Association and the Premier League Board with a notice today indicating they have pulled out of the League.

The letter which was cited by FootballGhana.com saw the Club hinting over the difficulty in funding players and officials due to the FA’s failure to secure a sponsorship for the League.

The situation means the Club will not honour their League game against WAFA at the Techiman Park on Sunday. They are currently lying 11th with 18 points on the Premier league log.
