EXCLUSIVE: Wakaso called up in Ghana's squad to face Guinea, Mauritius
Mubarak Wakaso has been invited for Ghana's match against Mauritius

Spain-based midfielder Mubarak Wakaso has been named in Ghana's squad to face Guinea and Mauritius later this month, Footballghana.com can exclusively reveal.

The La Liga player is among the players who have been invited by coach Avram Grant for the matches to be played in late May and early June.

His club Las Palmas have confirmed to Ghana's reference point for football news Footballghana.com that they have received an invitation from the Ghana Football Association.

According to the Las Palmas insider, the midfielder has been invited to play in the friendly against Guinea on 28 May in Paris and against Mauritius in Port Louis a week later.

The full Ghana squad is not yet known but with the club confirming that they have received the invitation, it means other players have also received their invites for the game.

Wakaso is a key player for the Black Stars and he was expected to have been part of the squad.

He missed the Black Stars last match against Mozambique because he was carrying an injury that kept him out of action for some time.
