FAW ask Bale, Ramsey about Man Utd icon Giggs

Real Madrid ace Gareth Bale has been asked by the Football Association of Wales for his opinion on the next national team coach.

Bale and Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey have given their input on the new Wales manager which is due to be announced on Monday, with Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs the clear favourite ahead of Craig Bellamy.

The Daily Mail says Giggs is favourite for the post but Bale and Ramsey have also stressed they backed Bellamy's candidacy.

Bellamy is currently the coach of Cardiff City under-18s.

Both former internationals were interviewed last week alongside development coach Osain Roberts and Mark Bowen, who left as Stoke City No2 alongside Mark Hughes after their FA Cup defeat at Coventry.
