As September approaches, FIFA producers EA Sports have begun to drip feed us information about the latest features to be implemented in the upcoming game.
Over the last week, player ratings for the year ahead have begun to emerge on social media with fans and players alike eager to see how the star performers have been ranked.
With this season set to be the most competitive to date, we take a look at the 11 best Premier League players to feature on the game and it's difficult to argue with them...
1. David De Gea - 91
After being named Manchester United's player of the year on three consecutive occasions, it's difficult to argue with the Spaniard's rating which could see him better Manuel Neuer's rating on the game. The German was valued at 90 on FIFA 16.
Having excelled whilst his teammates have floundered in recent years, without De Gea it is difficult to believe the club would have been able to attract the incredible talent they have recruited this summer.

2. Zlatan Ibrahimovic - 90
The Swede has announced himselfin England in typical Zlatan fashion. Netting four times in his opening three competitive games for the club, the 34-year-old has silenced the doubters. With an incredible shot power and a fantastic aerial threat, United will pose a real threat up top.
Ibrahimovic's decision to move to the Red Devils this summer will see the become one of the only sides with two players rated in the 90's.

3. Sergio Aguero - 89
The first non-Manchester United player, Aguero will be hoping his rating will be boosted prior to the release of the game having netted 6 times already this season.
A number of City fans are unhappy to see their star man rated lower than Ibra, however he will pose a threat to defences in game with his dribbling and finishing ability, especially with the shooting overhaul that will debut on FIFA 17.

3. Eden Hazard - 89
Despite a ridiculously poor campaign for the reigning champions lastseason, Hazard has somehow retained the 89 rating he was rewarded on FIFA 16.
One of the four ambassadors of the game, the Belgian will star with the physical play overhaul shaped around his playing style.

3. Thibaut Courtois - 89
A second Chelsea player who disappointed last term was goalkeeper Courtois, however he improves on his 86 from the current edition.
The shot stopper's potential is undeniable with another ten years at least at the top,and is capable of the extraordinary with his height beneficial to any player looking to sure things up at the back.
Funny how De Gea's potential rating on FIFA is 91 & rival fans are in meltdown. Courtois being 88/89 after the season he had is far worse.
6. Kevin De Bruyne - 88
One of the stand out players last season, De Bruyne falls one short of joining his City teammate and international compatriots on 89. Having arrived for a huge price tag last summer, the Belgium man has lived up to his valuation and is set to get even better under Pep Guardiola.
Could we see De Bruyne break into the 90's next year?

6. Mesut Ozil - 88
The German's 88 rating breaks Chelsea and the Manchester club's stranglehold at the top of the tree. Ozil enjoyed his best season to date for the Gunners last time out.
With the latest game set to improve through balls, Ozil could be a real threat this season, especially if Arsene Wenger is able to add another striker to his ranks before the window closes.

8. David Silva - 87
The diminutive Spaniard is City's third and final player to feature in the all star list, dropping by a single figure from his 88 in FIFA 16. With Guardiola in charge at the Etihad, Silva like De Bruyne and Aguero could have his best season to date and return to his previous rating next season.
I bet David Silva refuses to press shoot when he plays FIFA.
8. Cesc Fabregas - 87
Having yet to start under Antonio Conte, there are doubts over the Spaniard's future at Chelsea, however that was all put to one side as Fabregas' 12 minute cameo saw him awarded man of the match and justify his rating on the game.
Cesc's vision as he demonstrated at Vicarage Road is amongst the best in the world and will be vital for Chelsea's attacking players to flourish this season, as it was when they won the league in 2014/15.

8. Paul Pogba - 87
The world's most expensive player rates joint eighth amongst the best player's in the best league in the world. With Manchester United and EA Sports now in a three-year partnership, we could see Pogba's rating rise prior to the release of the game.
One thing that is for sure is that we will see plenty of 'dabbing' in game this year, after the Frenchman's trademark celebration was added to gameplay.

8. Petr Cech - 87
Arsenal's number one joins teammate Mesut Ozil among the league's best to complete the line up. At the age of 34, Cech has improved on his rating of 85 after featuring sparsely for Chelsea in the build up to FIFA 16.
The Gunners keeper could find himself in the 90's if he was able to shut out opposition defences and take Arsene Wenger's side to their first league title in twelve years with the current problems in front of him.
If De Gea's 91 on FIFA 17, Cech should be 92 at least.
