Former Bechem United and Al Hilal Omdurman goal poacher, Abednego Tetteh has denied reports that he has sealed a move to join Kotoko ahead of the 2017/2018 Ghana Premier League season.

The 27-year old striker is currently a free agent and has been linked to a number of teams including Accra Hearts of Oak and Kotoko.

Reports emerged at the weekend that Tetteh has sealed a move to join the Porcupine warriors to boost their attack ahead of their continental campaign.

Tetteh in an interview with Kumasi based Nhyira FM rejected claims that he has agreed terms to join Kotoko.

"Yes I have talked to an official at Kotoko but no negotiation has been done, its not true I have signed for Kotoko. Not yet"- Abednego Tetteh revealed.

Kotoko have laboured to score goals in the domestic campaign, finding the back of the net on just 23 occasions in 30 league matches last season.

The goal-shy side however opted for a deadly partnership of Tetteh and Saddick Adams in the upcoming campaign. Kumasi Asante Kotoko last played in a continental club tournament grand finale some 13 years ago, missing on the 2004 CAF confederation cup to rivals, Accra Hearts of Oak.
