Former Hearts captain Moro Abubakar has ended his promising career due to reoccurring injuries at age 27.

Abubakar is currently in Norway after taking the decision to call time off his career.

He cancelled his contract with Accra Hearts of Oak four seasons ago and found greener pastures with Serbian SuperLiga side, FK Donji Srem where he made 19 appearances during the 2014-15 season.

“He has stopped playing and he is now working in Norway to enable him get some income to support his family” a close source to the player confirmed to Graphic Sports

While playing for Hearts, Moro’s stellar performance caught the attention of arch rivals Kotoko who were reported to have made overtures to price him out to the Porcupine Warriors but that effort failed.
