Former Inter Allies star Ropapa Mensah delighted with first USL goal

Ghanaian youngster , Ropapa Mensah , has revealed his excitement after opening his scoring account for USL side City Islanders. The on loan Inter Allies FC celebrated attacker scored a stunner in his side’s 1-1 friendly game at Maryland.

The jubilant forward , who is yet to make his competitive debut in the United Soccer League , however believes his time on the pitch is just around the corner. The skilful number 10 capped a productive night in the friendly game with his trade mark finish to put himself in pole position for a starting berth in their next league fixture.

Updating Sports Crusader on the enormous importance of the goal, Ropapa Mensah, cited the relief and the self believe it has brought on him. The Ghanaian import also promised to build on the promising start ahead of his likely debut over the weekends.

“It is always good to score goals and even better when you play well in the game.

“The goal added to my self believe and took some pressure off me going forward.

“It has added to my personal confidence and this can only help me as a player. My debut league matche is just around the corner”, Ropapa Mensah told sports Crusader.

The Ghanaian and his clubman , Abbas Mohammed joined City Islanders on a 1 year loan spell from Inter Allies with the hope of signing a permanent deal at the end of the season.
