Former Inter Allies striker Fredrick Boateng’s move to Ethiopian side Welwalo Adigrat University FC has broken down after the player failed to reach financial agreement with the club.

Boateng was expected to complete a move to the Ethiopian club after agreeing personal terms with the club but the deal hit the snag in the last minute following the club’s inability to meet the player’s financial demands.

The former Ebusua Dwarfs will return to the country to find a new club after mutually agreeing to part ways with Inter Allies.

The 23 year-old has been in a similar situation before when a transfer to Arab Contractors in Egypt broke down.

Boteng has had a difficult season in the Ghana Premier League this term, losing his position at Inter Allies despite being their the top target man a season before.
