Former Kotoko Chief Herbert Mensah to contest for GFA presidency

Former Kumasi Asante Kotoko Chief Executive Officer, Herbert Mensah is likely to contest for the Ghana Football Association Presidency in 2019. 

The President of the Ghana Rugby Association is expected to return to football after years of leaving the sport to help grow Rugby in the country.

President of the Ghana Football Association, Kwesi Nyantakyi has indicated he will not seek re-election at the end of his tenure, prompting a lot of big names in football to avail themselves for the position.

Names like vice President of the Ghana Football Association George Afriyie, Dreams FC executive chairman Kurt Okraku and Fred Pappoe of Accra Great Olympics have all be mentioned to contest for the position.

However, Herbert Mensah's name is the latest to spring up and sources close to the former Kotoko C.E.O revealed the affable leader will contest for the position.

Hebert Mensah is a busibess man and has been [raised for the influential role he played in his days at Kumasi Asante Kotoko and currently with the Ghana Rugby Association.
