Former Liberty Professionals assistant Coach Ignatius Fosu is set to join Ashantigold, according reports in the media.

The ex Liberty trainer is reported to have been spotted training with the club, who have pitched camp at the University of Ghana, Legon.

Ignatius Fosu left Liberty Professional midway last season following the appointment of former Kotoko gaffer Michael Ose as head Coach of the club.

He was made interim Coach of the Club, following the departures of George Lamptey and Felix Aboagye but could not stay long at the Dansoman based side.

According to reports, he will be joining Coach C.K Akunor, who is yet to pen an official deal with the club after helping the miners escape relegation.

Ashantigold have struggled since winning the Ghana Premier League in 2015.

This led to the departure of several key players and Coach Bashiru Hayford last term.
