The Chairman of the Ghana League Club Association (GHALCA) Cudjoe Fianoo has disclosed that the pre-season competition dubbed G-6 will come of on November 13 instead of the publicised November 5.

Speaking to the media after a meeting with the representatives of the six participating teams, the Ashantigold CEO said the shift in date came up because the various clubs raised concerns over lack of preparation for the start of the tournament.

“Yes the date has been changed and it’s normal in every human endeavour. We understand them and so we have now changed the date to 13 November,” he stated.

“We have also secured a headline sponsor for the competition and still searching for more sponsors,” Mr Fianoo disclosed.

The G-6 tournament will feature the top six teams of the last Ghana Premier League season - Wa All Stars, Hearts of Oak, Kotoko, Bechem United, Aduana Stars and Medeama Sporting Club - battling for honours.
