GHALCA G8 clubs will sign commitment contracts- Kudjoe Fianoo

Chairman of the Ghana League Clubs Association (GHALCA) has revealed the clubs that the clubs that will participate in the GHALCA G8 tournaments will sign commitment contracts for the Championship.

According to the C.E.O of Ashantigold, the clubs have agreed to use top notch players and the tournament will be programme to benefit the participating clubs.

League Champions Aduana Stars, FA Cup winners Kumasi Asante Kotoko, WAFA, Hearts and Medeama who placed second, third and fourth respectively will all be involved in the competition.

Newly promoted sides, Dreams FC, Karela United and Eleven Wonder will also be part of the competition.

However, ahead of the tournament to be played in January next year, Chairman of GHALCA Kudjoe Fianoo revealed all clubs will sign a commitment contracts.

“This is an off season programme and we want the clubs to be comfortable, that means they shouldn’t travel too far to play the matches,” he told GNA.

“All the clubs have agreed and they have committed themselves to play in the competition. They have also committed to use their Class A players and not the reserve sides. They have also promised to give Ghanaians a good competition.

“Aduana and Kotoko are using this as a training programme for their Africa campaign next season. We will be meeting again with the clubs where they will have to sign to the administrative instructions, as well as players that could be eligible to play in the competition.”

Kumasi Asante Koto beat Aduana last season to win the off season competition.
