Accra Hearts of Oak midfielder Samudeen Ibrahim insists the team is excited to reach the semifinals of the GHALCA G8 tournament.

The Phobians had to fight back to beat Ebusua Dwarfs 3-2 and progress to the semifinals of the competition. Substitute Richard Zuma came on to score twice for the Accra based Club as they won against the Crabs.

Accra Hearts of Oak will next face Kumasi Asante Kotoko in the semifinals but midfielder Samudeen Ibrahim insists the win was a difficult one.

“It was very tough game for us, we came into the game very angry and determined to at least go back home with a point but they almost surprised," he said after the game.

Meanwhile, the midfielder who has been phenomenal for the Phobians added the club was excited to reach the semis and will look forward to winning the competition.

Hearts of Oak are missing the core of the club after the departures of striker Kwame Kizito, defender Vincent Atinga and Winful Cobinna.

Last seasons Captain Thomas Abbey is yet to return to the club after weeks of trials abroad.
