GHALCA makes GHC 100,000 from Kotoko vs Hearts game

Organizers of the 2016 G6 preseason tournament, GHALCA have amassed GHC 100,000 as gate proceeds from the semi-final game between Kumasi Asante Kotoko and Accra Hearts of Oak. 

 

The game which was played at the Baba Yara sports stadium on Sunday afternoon, was embraced a great crowd.

 

Hearts of oak did run out as winners after beating the Porcupines 6-5 on penalties after a 1-1 draw in regulation time.

 

Speaking to Kumasi based Nhyira FM on Monday, chairman of GHALCA Kudjoe Fianoo revealed his outfit grossed that much from the game and both clubs are expected to get 25% of the gate proceeds after Vat is deducted.

 

Hearts are set to take on Aduana stars in the finals of the G6 tournament with organizers hoping to chalk same financial feat.
