Ghana beat Cote D’Ivoire to qualify for WAFU U-17 Championship finals

The Black Starlets of Ghana have qualified for the finals of the 2018 WAFU 17 Championship after beating Cote d’ Ivoire 2-1 on Wednesday afternoon.

Ghana's U-17 side came from behind to snatch victory after Seydou Traore shot Cote d’ Ivoire into the lead.

Umar Mohammed drew Ghana level before Taufiq Shaibu scored the match-winner for the Black Starlets just after recess.

The Black Starlets now awaits the winner between Nigeria and Niger in the finals.

The winner of the competition will secure the sole ticket for the 2019 Africa U-17 Championship in Tanzania.
