Ghana-born Derrick Luckassen will finally join PSV today if he passes a medical at the club.

The Red and Whites have been jostling with Feyenoord for the utility man's services.

According to a Goal.com report, the Dutch youth star is expected to sign a five-year deal should everything goes through today.

PSV manager Phillip Cocu has made the 22-year-old a top priority as he seeks to bolster his squad ahead of their participation in the Europa League next season.

Luckassen became a top transfer target for clubs this summer following his impressive showing for AZ Alkmaar in the Eredivisie and the Europa League last campaign.

The defender cum midfielder made 35 Eredivisie appearances, all starts, and netted three times as the Cheeseheads finished sixth.

He also made 12 outings, all starts, in the Europa League.

Born in the Netherlands to Ghanaian parents, Luckassen is currently caught up in a tug-of-war between the two nations over his international future.
