Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan battles fitness as his side Kayserispor play Goztepe in the Turkish Super Lig.
Gyan was replaced in the second half of the league opener against Besiktas when he picked an injury.
The former Sunderland striker is likely to miss Sunday’s game following the back injury.
Meanwhile, Kayserispor will hope the Ghana captain recovers soon enough to feature in upcoming games.
The 31 year old joined Kayserispor from Chinese side Shanghai SIPG after loan spell at Al Ahli Dubai.
Gyan returned to Europe after seven years in Asia.
