Head Coach of the Black Stars Avram Grant, watched from the stands as the Black Satellites missed out on qualification to the Africa Youth Championship slated for Zambia after a 2-3 aggregate defeat to Senegal.
The satellites needed to score two (2) unanswered goals at the Cape Coast stadium against the Young Lions of Senegal to secure qualification but managed to grab just a goal as they game ended 1-0 in favour of Ghana thanks to a Charles Boateng strike.
Grant, who played an advisory role to then Satellites coach Sellas Tetteh at the previous Africa Youth Championship, appeared in the stands to monitor some budding talents at close hand with an aim for future national team call up and also hope to play another role at the competition proper in Zambia but that dream was shut out.
