Ghana international Sulley Muntari eyes Black Stars return

Sulley Muntari has revealed that he has not retired from football and is looking forward to getting an opportunity to feature for the Black Stars again.

Currently, the 33-year-old is unattached after his one-year loan spell with Deportivio La Coruna in the Spanish Liga run out.

The tough-tackling midfielder, who last featured for Ghana in the 2014 FIFA World Cup is eyeing a return to the team.

"So far as I have not retired from football and still capable of playing the beautiful game, I would always love to be in the white jersey again if am given the opportunity," he stated.

"So yes definitely, if I start playing, I would love to come back and play for the Stars”.

The former Inter Milan player has played in three World cups namely 2006, 2010 and 2018 since his debut in 2002 against Slovenia.

In the 2018 FIFA World Cup In Brazil, Muntari was sent packing from the tournament alongside, Kevin-Prince Boateng for indecent prior to the Black Stars final group game against Portugal.
