Ghanaian midfielder Bernard Morrison is happy about the prospect of playing for South African side Orlando Pirates.

There were earlier reports that Morrison's current club AS Vita had turned down a R3-million offer for the 23 year old from Pirates.

However, Bucs are reported to have now improved their bid and the former AshGold player could travel to South Africa next week to seal the deal with the Soweto giants.

“The club has informed me that the negotiations are going well and the deal could happen anytime soon,” Morrison said.

“The PSL is a big league. I’m very excited about the opportunity of coming down to South Africa and playing for a big team like Pirates.” he added.

Bernard Morrison played in the Ghana Premier league with Hearts of Lions from 2010-2013 before switching camps to play for former league champions AshGold in the 2013/2014 season scoring 3 goals in his 5 appearances.
