Ghana Football Association spokesperson Ibrahim Saani Daara has revealed they are in talks to arrange a high-profile friendly with 2018 World Cup host Russia in October.

The Black Stars are hoping to play either Russia or the USA in a FIFA international friendly slated in the next two months.

“The FA is in talks with Russia and USA, but they are yet to be confirmed,” he told Happy FM.

“We want to us the games as a preparatory ground for the 2017 Cup of Nations and World Cup qualifiers.

“But we will make it public when it is confirmed. For now talks is still ongoing.”

The Black Stars will use the high-profile friendly as a dress rehearsal ahead of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon and crucially the 2018 World Cup qualifiers.
