Ghana Premier League: Hearts battle Aduana for top spot

League leaders Accra Hearts of Oak will attempt to halt second placed Aduana Stars five-game winning run when they travel to face them at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park, at Dormaa Ahenkro.

The Phobians are coming-off an efficient 1-0 win over Sekondi Hasaacas at an empty Accra Sports Stadium and their midfielder Mustapha Essuman has issued a rallying cry to their fans to throng their next game.

"We always hear them shouting and it encourages us," Essuman told Hearts official Audioboom channel.

"They should come in their numbers because we miss them and Aduana is a tight ground. They should always expect a win because we always do well in away matches. It won't be easy but we are going to meet expectations".

Interestingly, the Phobians are the best travelers in the league (amassing 11 points out of a possible 15) while Aristică Cioabă's resurgent Aduana have picked-up maximum points in their last five games.

Aduana's excellent form in recent weeks has been powered by goals from in-form striker Yahaya Mohammed which has propelled them up the table after a disastrous start which saw them lose their opening three games and cost former trainer Nurudeen Amadu his job.
