Ghana Premier League round two returns this weekend

The second half of the Ghana Premier League 2016/17 season will commence this weekend with match week 16.

The first round of the season ended on a good note for the likes of Wafa, Aduana, Hearts of Oak and Berekem Chelsea as they occupied the top four positions in that respective order on the league table. The bottom three position also saw clubs like Great Olympics, AshantiGold and Bolga AllStars.

The second round of the league will commence with the same fixtures as GHPLwk15 with clubs that played at home doing the traveling this time round. It will be an interested fixture to watch especially for clubs that managed to win away from home. Can Hearts of Oak beat their city rivals Liberty Professionals for the second time in a row or will it be Dansoman base team revenge their first-round defeat as they lock horns this weekend at the Accra sports stadium.

Lovers of the game will have to wait patiently to see if the “Dark horses’’ of the league Wafa, can clinch the ultimate after their impressive performance in the first-round.
