Manchester United starlet, Timothy Fosu-Mensah appears to have signed with British super-agent Jonathan Barnett, the same man who represents the likes of Luke Shaw, Ashley Cole, Joe Hart and most notably Gareth Bale, among countless others.

The player who is yet to commit his international career was handed his United debut by Louis van Gaal in February. He uploaded a picture to Instagram of himself with Barnett without a caption, hinting at a deal.

The versatile Dutch teenager, capable of playing all across the back four and in midfield is rated as one of best young talents in the Premier League after his sudden emergence in the second half of last season.

He played eight times in the league as well as making two further appearances in the FA Cup, before being rewarded with a maiden call-up to the senior Dutch international squad at the end of the campaign. Only a lack of fitness prevented him from his first full cap.

United plucked Fosu-Mensah from the Ajax academy in 2014 when he was just 16 years of age. He has risen through the ranks alongside the likes of Marcus Rashford and is tipped to continue making an impression in the upcoming season under the management of Jose Mourinho.

Fosu-Mensah's presence is arguably one of the reasons United haven't moved for a new right-back so far this summer and are unlikely to do so. That's despite rumours that Matteo Darmian is fighting to stay at the club.

In Barnett, he certainly now has a well connected and powerful agent who will work to raise his profile. The 66-year-old has previously described himself to be on a "crusade to see all players looked after well".
