Ghana winger Albert Adomah remains doubt for Villa trip to Fulham

Ghana winger Albert Adomah could miss Aston Villa's trip to the Craven Cottage as he is being assessed with a hamstring injury.

Aston Villa's top scorer this season, was on target as the former Premier League campaigners defeated Birmingham City in the local derby.

The former Middlesborough man's form has propelled Villa to second place as the club continues with the push for promotion.

Adomah's injury will be a blow for manager Steve Bruce, who is poised to return the Club to the top flight.

Another blow for Asyton Villa will be the injury to Jack Grealish, who has also been on form for the club this season.

Aston Villa have won seven straight in the league and are looking to equal the club’s best postwar winning streak. They could also climb four points clear of rivals Derby with a victory.

But with 15 games still remaining, Bruce is unsurprisingly urging caution.

“We haven’t done anything yet,” said the boss. “We can’t get carried away with a win in the derby. It was great for all Villa fans to win last week (against Birmingham).

“But if we think we’re Real Madrid, we’re not. We haven't achieved anything yet."
