Ghanaian Cobby Yeboah named coach of the year at Columbus Crew

Ghanaian Coach Cobby Yeboah has been named coach of the year at Major League Soccer Club, Columbus Crew’s youth side.

The Ghanaian who coaches the under 11’s of Columbus crew was named coach of the year after helping shape the developmental programme of the club, grooming young players into world class footballer.

Cobby's playing career began in Ghana where he played through High School. He was selected for the Ghana National Team Prelim Squad for U12-U14.

He has coached at the youth and high school levels including being the Head JV Coach at Reynoldsburg High School.

He enjoys being able to impact the lives of young players and teaching them skills such as sportsmanship, social skills, and soccer skills.

The former Columbus Community State University student experessed his joy at winning the award on twitter.

He posted,” It's a great honor to win coach of the year . I owe everything to the @ColumbusCrewSC organization for giving me the opportunity . #CrewSC.”
