Zamalek’s Ghanaian striker Benjamin Acheampong suffered an injury during the team’s training session and was ruled out for two months.

The White Knights signed the 26-year-old player from Dakhleya in June 2017, a few days after Smouha made the same announcement which sparked a row between the two clubs.

Acheampong, who scored 10 goals in 29 games for Dakhleya after joining in the summer of 2016 from Jordanian side Aqaba, suffered a muscular injury during the training that will result in his exclusion from the team for two months.

The club’s board have been working hard in the past period to bolster the team’s squad and technical staff. They recently appointed Montenegrin manager Nebojša Jovović as their new head coach to lead the team after a trophy-less season at the White Castle.
