Daniel Amartey excelled in a defensive midfield role for Leicester City who translated their impressive form in the Uefa Champions League to the Premier League after beating Burnley 3-0.

Injured Andre Ayew watched from the screens as his West Ham United side were beaten 4-2 by West Bromwich Albion. Elvis Manu was unused by Brighton as they won 1-0 at Burton.

Ipswich Town and Aston Villa shared the spoils in a 0-0 draw on Saturday. Jordan Ayew played the full 90 minutes for Villa while Albert Adomah was introduced late into the game by Villa.

Chelsea loanee Christian Atsu was introduced in the 63rd minute Newcastle United who succumbed to a 2-0 home loss against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

In the League One, Crystal Palace loanee Hiram Boateng lasted 78 minutes for Bristol Rovers who earned a point at Bradford City after drawing 1-1.

Burnley loanee Daniel Agyei was unused by Coventry City who drew 0-0 with Oldham Athletics. Englisb-born Andy Yiadom starred for Barnsley who lost 2-1 against Reading.

Former Arsenal starlet Abumere Ogogo lasted the entire period of the game for Shrewsbury Town in their 1-0 home loss against Scunthorpe United.

Notts County was 3-2 victors against Cheltenham Town. Former Liberty Professionals starletKoby Arthur who is on loan at Town from Birmingham City was unused while Belgian-bornStanley Aborah Jnr. was unused by the winner.

AUSTRIA

Kevin Luckassen lasted the entire period of the game for St Polten who drew 1-1 with Wolfsberger AC.

Raphael Dwamena scored his 7th goal of the season for Austria Lustenau when they suffered a 3-1 loss at LASK Linz on Friday. Samuel Tetteh assisted two goals for Liefering who posted a 3-2 win over Horns.

BELGIUM

Eric Ocansey played 73 minutes for KAS Eupen who slipped to a 3-2 defeat against Club Brugge.

Nine-man Genk suffered a 2-0 loss at the hands of Anderlecht. Ghana midfielder Bennard Kumordzi was introduced late into the game Genk while Frank Acheampong played the entire for the victors while youngster Emmanuel Sowah.

Nana Akwasi Asare was not part of the Gent side that lost 1-0 at KV Oostende.

Dutch-born Elton Acolatse assisted the consolation goal for Westerlo lost 3-1 against Royal Excel Mouscron.

Midfielder Nana Opoku Ampomah came off the bench to play the last 17 minutes for Waasland-Beveren who were battered 4-1 by St Truiden.

In the second-tier league, Issahaku Yabuku was influential for Lierse SK in their 5-1 win over Tubize.

DENMARK

Ernest Asante scored a 11st minute opener for Nordsjælland who slipped to a 3-2 home loss against SonderjyskE. Divine Naah also started for Nordsjælland while Godsway Donyoh was introduced in the second-half.

Kevin Mensah played full throttle for Esbjerg who drew 1-1 with Randers.

Former New Edubiase United midfielder Ibrahim Moro was booked in the 62nd minute and lasted the entire period for Silkeborg who beat AGF 1-0.

FC Copenhagen managed a 2-0 win over Horsens. Danish-born Danny Amankwaa was introduced in the second-half by Copenhagen while Joseph Mensah was introduced by the vanquished in the 79th minute.

Mase Nana Addo Welbeck warmed the bench for BK Odense in their 1-0 loss against Midtjylland.

FINLAND Inter Turku posted a 3-2 win over giants HJK Helsinki on Friday. Finnish-born Solomon Duahplayed 77 for Turku while Anthony Annan played the entire minutes of the game for HJK. Ghana youngster Evans Mensah came off the bench to play for HJK.

RoPS claimed a 1-0 win over PK-35 Vantaa. Former Ghana U20 striker Ransford Osei sat on the RoPS.

FRANCE

Striker Majeed Waris climbed off the bench to help Lorient record a 1-0 win over Lile on Saturday. He came off the bench in the 68th minute.

Young defender Enock Kwateng was unused by Nantes who earned a point from Nancy after holding them to a 1-1 draw.

Ghana youth defender Geoffrey Acheampong was named in the Bastia squad for their trip to Saint-Etienne on Sunday. He came off the bench in 92nd minute to play for Bastia.

Emmanuel Ntim was not part of the Valenciennes side that 1-1 drew Ajaccio.

Stade de Reims held Sochaux to a 1-1 draw. French-born Ghanaian striker Grejohn Kyei came off the bench to play for Reims.

GERMANY

German-born Ghanaian youth midfielder Gideon Jung started for Hamburg and lasted the entire period in their 4-0 mauling by Red Bull Leipzig in the Bundesliga.

Baba Rahman was in full time action for Schalke 04 who succumbed to a 2-0 loss at Hertha Berlin.

Defender Daniel Opare could not make the Augsburg squad for their 3-1 home loss against Mainz 05.

Eintracht Brauschweig posted a 2-1 win over Sandhausen in the Bundesliga II on Friday. Ghana defender Philemon Ofosu-Ayeh played the entire game for Braunschweig but his compatriotJoseph Baffo was unused.

Ghana youth midfielder David Atanga could not make the Heidenheim squad for their 2-0 win over Fortuna Düsseldorf.

German-born Erich Berko warmed the bench for Dynamo Dresden in their 2-0 home loss against Erzgebirge Aue.

In the third-tier league Ghanaian forward Okyere Wriedt was introduced in the second-half by Osnabruck who stole a 1-0 win over Holstein Kiel. Former Dortmund midfielder Evans Owusu Nyarko was not in the Kiel squad for the game.

Manfred Osei-Kwadwo played the entire game for Sonnenhof Groß who drew 2-2 with Aalen.

Kwame Kusi played the entire match for Fortuna Koln who shared the spoils in a 2-2 with Jahn Regensburg.

Elsewhere TSV Havelse and Wolfsburg II split the points in a 1-1 draw. Ghanaian midfielderDaniel-Kofi Kyereh was introduced in the second-half by Havelse while Anton Donkor was introduced in the second-half by Wolfsburg.

ITALY

Ghana youth star Godfred Donsah climbed off the bench in the 61st minute to play for ten-man Bologna in their 3-1 defeat against Napoli on Saturday.

Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu played for Udinese who slipped to a 2-1 home loss against Chievo Verona.

Sassuolo posted a 2-0 win over ten-man Genoa. Alfred Duncan played the entire for Sassuolo but Isaac Cofie sat on the Genoa bench. Youngster Claud Adjapong warmed the bench for the Green and Blacks.

Afriyie Acquah played full throttle for Torino who failed to beat Empoli as they drew 0-0.

Kwadwo Asamoah lasted the entire duration of the game for Juventus who lost 2-1 against Inter Milan.

In the Serie B, Bottom-placed Salernitana were handed a 3-2 defeat by Vicenza at their own backyard. Moses Odjer played the entire match for Salernitana.

Former AC Milan forward Kingsley Boateng sat on the Bari bench for their 2-1 win over Cesena on Friday. Ransford Selasi was unused by Novara who lost 3-1 against Cittadella on Saturday.

Hellas Verona posted a 3-1 win over Avellino. 2015 Ghana U20 defender Patrick Asmah came off the bench to play for Avellino but Inter Milan loanee Isaac Donkor was unused by the losers.

Latina and Benevento shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw. Both Maxwell Boadu Acosty andRichmond Boakye-Yiadom started for Latina while Raman Chibsah played for Benevento. Inter Milan loanee Bright Gyamfi warmed the Benevento bench. Masahudu Alhassan was not in the Perugia team that drew 1-1 with Ternana.

2009 Ghana U20 defender Bright Addae was introduced in the 84th minute by Ascoli who snatched a point from Trapani in a 1-1 draw.

In the third-tier league, Ancona 1905 succumbed to a shocking 1-0 loss against 8-man Venezia. Ghanaian midfielder Daniel Kofi Agyei played for Ancona. The Fiorentina loanee played 77 minutes.

NETHERLANDS

Manchester City starlet Yaw Yeboah flourished for FC Twente as they posted an emphatic 4-1 win over ADO Den Haag.

Derrick Luckassen was in full time action for AZ Alkmaar in their 2-0 win over PEC Zwolle.

Sparta Rotterdam managed a smooth 2-0 win over NEC Nijmegen. Ghana winger Quincy Owusu-Abeyie played the entire game for NEC but German-born Reagy Ofosu was introduced just before the start of the second-half.

Kumasi-born Portugal youth international Asumah Abubakar warmed the bench for Willem II who shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw with Excelsior Rotterdam.

Dutch-born Ghanaian striker Johnathan Opoku Agyemang played the entire match for VVV Venlo who lost 2-1 at Helmond Sport.

FC Utrecht II drew 2-2 with ten-man Volendam. Ghanaian youth striker Rodney Antwi played for Utrecht.

In the second-tier league, Ghanaian winger Raymond Gyasi was booked in the 49th minute and played the entire game for Cambuur who lost 3-0 against Fortuna Sittard. Former Newcastle United forward Frank Wiafe Danquah was introduced by the home side in the last five minutes of the game.

Manchester City loanee Thomas Agyepong was consigned to the NAC Breda bench when they won 4-2 against RKC Waalwijk. Veteran striker Fred Benson scored one of the consolation goals for RKC.

In the third-tier league Ghanaian youngster Lovette Ofori Felicia scored for Sparta II in their 2-1 win over Excelsior Maassluis on Saturday.

Ralph Dua was introduced in stoppage-time by Spakenburg who won 4-2 against Lienden.

Carlos Opoku played in defence for Koninklijke HFC who lost 5-1 against Vitesse Arnhem II.

NORWAY

FC Haugesund and Valerenga shared the spoils in a 1-1 draw. Manchester City loanee Ernest Agyiri was axed from the Valerenga squad.

Gilbert Koomson scored for Sogndal in their 3-0 win over Sarpsborg 08. Striker Mahatma Otoowas unused. Koomson also assisted the second goal for Sogndal.

Edwin Gyasi scored and assisted a goal for Aalesund in their 4-2 win over Stromsgodset.Mohammed Abu played the full 90 minutes for Stroms while Bismark Adjei-Boateng came off their bench in the 69th minute to play.

Adam Kwarasey dropped to the bench as his Rosenborg side won 2-0 against IK Start. StrikerDennis Antwi played for Start.

PORTUGAL

Osei Barnes was in action for Pacos Feirreira who won 4-1 at Vitoria Setubal.

Atletico Madrid loanee Bernard Mensah came off the bench to play the last 11 minutes for Vitoria Guimaraes who split points with Belenenses in a 1-1 draw.

Alhassan Wakaso flourished in midfield for Rio Ave who beat Sporting CP 3-1.

Ghanaian youngster Ernest Ohemeng scored his first goal for Academica Coimbra and propelled them to a 3-0 win over Famalicao.

Former Liberty Professionals defender Emmanuel Hackmann played the full 90 minutes for Deportivo Aves who beat Academico Viseu 3-2.

União Madeira helped themselves to a vital away point after holding Sporting Covilha to a 1-1 draw. Former Mighty Jets defender Richard Ofori was introduced late by the home side while 2013 Ghana U17 striker Kwame N'sor also came off the bench to play for Madeira.

Attacker Panin Mensa Boakye played the last 31 minutes for Vizela who drew 0-0 with Leixoes.

Lumor Agbenyenu lasted the entire game for Portimonense in their 1-1 draw with Cova Piedade. But Emmanuel Sarpong could not make the Portimonense squad for the game.

Ghana youth defender Joseph Aidoo played the entire minutes of the game for Hammarby who won 1-0 against Jonkopings Sodra. Enock Kwakwa played for Falkenberg when they lost 5-0 against Elfsborg.

Patrick Kpozo and Ebenezer Ofori both played for AIK as they won 1-0 against Gefle. Former Heart of Lions midfielder Kwame Bonsu played for Gefle.

Enock Adu Kofi played 84 minutes for Malmo FF in their 3-1 win over Djurgarden.

Former Right to Dream Academy graduate Sam Mensah sat on the Östersunds FK bench in their 2-1 loss at Kalmar.

Former Asante Kotoko midfielder Yussif Chibsah played for ten-man Ljungskile who lost 2-1 against Syrianska FC. Inter Allies loanee Lord Ofosuhene was unused by the losers.

TURKEY

Isaac Sackey was in 54 minutes of action for Alanyaspor who humbled Trabzonspor 3-0. But former Hearts of Oak defender Nuru Sulley could not make the matchday squad grades.

Joseph Attamah sat on the Istanbul bench for their win over Gaziantepspor.

In the second-tier, defender Jerry Akaminko came off the bench to play for Eskisehirspor in their 3-1 win over Elazıgspor.

Midfielder Seidu Salifu was not in the Adana Demirspor squad that drew 2-2 with Altınordu.

SCOTLAND

Ghanaian midfielder Abdul Osman was sent off in the 89th minute while in action for Partick Thistle in their 2-2 draw with Kilmarnock. The 29-year-old was booked twice in the game.

Elsewhere at the McDiarmid Park, St Johnstone sneaked past Heart of Midlothian 1-0. Ghanaian midfielder Prince Buaben sat on the Heart bench.

SPAIN

Diego Simeone excluded Ghana international Thomas Partey from his squad that defeated Sporting Gijon 5-0.

Former AC Milan star Kevin-Prince Boateng was introduced in the 69th minute bu Las Palmas who posted a 1-0 win over Malaga.

In the Segunda Division, Ghana goalkeeper Razak Brimah sat on the bench for Cordoba who won 1-0 against Levante. He has not started a game since the start of the season.

AFRICA TP Mazembe held Etoile du Sahel to a 1-1 draw at their own backyard. Ghana winger Solomon Asante warmed the Ravens bench but trio Gladson Awako, Yaw Frimpong and Daniel Nii Adjeiwere not in the matchday squad.

BELARUS

Former Ghana Division One League top scorer Joel Famayeh scored the match winner for Dinamo Brest in a 1-0 win over Torpedo BelAZ on Saturday. 18-year-old Dickson Afoakwa came off the bench to play for Brest but Latif Amadu was unused.

BULGARIA

Francis Narh played in attack for Levski Sofia who won 2-0 against OFK Pirin.

CROATIA

Former Inter Milan Primavera player Said Ahmed Said scored a brace to power Hajduk Split to a 4-0 win over Slaven Koprivnica.

CZECH REPUBLIC

Standard Liege loanee Benjamin Tetteh was introduced in the 53rd minute by Slovacko who lost 3-0 against Mladá Boleslav.

UKRAINE

Striker Kwame Karikari played for Stal in their 3-2 loss against Olimpik Donetsk.

EGYPT

Striker Emmanuel Banahene started for Ismaily who lost 1-0 against giants Al Ahli. Former Hearts of Oak starlet Torric Jebrin was introduced in the second-half by Ismaily.

Samuel Owusu was in action for FC Tanta in their 3-0 loss against Misr Lel Makasa. Duo Joe Ato-Bissah and Dennis Tetteh were both absent from Tanta squad for the game. Nana Poku was substituted in the second-half by the victors.

Wilson Akpakpo was in action for El Masry in their 2-1 loss at El Geish on Saturday.

Samuel Afum played for Wadi Degla who lost 1-0 against Petrojet.

Striker Patrick Adu played for Al Nasr Taa'den when they lost 4-0 against ENPPI.

ESTONIA

Former Asante Kotoko defender Michael Ofosu-Appiah lasted the entire period of the game for Infonet who won 1-0 against Rakvere Tarvas. 2006 Ghana World Cup star Haminu Dramani came off the bench to play for Infonet.

RUSSIA Neither Emmanuel Frimpong nor Awal Mohammed was in the Arsenal Tula squad that lost 1-0 against Tom' Tomsk.

Black Stars defender Jonathan Mensah excelled in lateral defence for Anzhi who won 1-0 at Ural. But midfielder Rabiu Mohammed missed the game with injury.

SERBIA

Obeng Regan played 65 minutes for ten-man Cukaricki who lost 4-2 against visiting Spartak Sabotica.

UAE

Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan scored a 4th minute penalty for Al Ahli and helped them to a 4-0 win over Emirates FC. He lasted 60 minutes for Ahli.

USA

David Accam scored a sublime finish for Chicago Fire in their 2-2 draw with DC United on Friday night. Dutch-born Ghanaian defender Johan Kappelhof lasted the entire game for Fire. Former Leeds United attacker Lloyd Ekow Sam played for United as well as Patrick Nyarko.

Meanwhile at the Providence Park in Oregon, Joshua Yaro was sent off while in action for Philadelphia Union in their 2-1 loss against Portland Timbers. American-born Charles Sapongalso played for the Union.

New England Revolution coasted to a 3-1 away win over Montreal Impact. Ghanaian attackerDominic Oduro was introduced by Impact on the 68th minute but Gershon Koffie was not in the New England squad for the game.

Harrison Afful excelled in defence for Columbus Crew in their comprehensive 4-1 win over Orlando City FC.
