Juventus midfield dynamo Kwadwo Asamoah will be out of action for between six and seven weeks due to a knee injury, the club have announced.

The Serie A champions have confirmed the Ghanaian will miss key clashes against AC Milan and Napoli as well as Champions League ties against Dinamo Zagreb & Lyon.

The 27 year old pulled up with problems during the 1-0 victory over Palermo on Saturday, which saw the champions maintain their one-point lead at the top of Serie A.

Juve have also confirmed that Asamoah will require surgery to correct a meniscus rupture set to sideline him for 45 days.

The Black Stars midfielder has been blighted by injury problems over the past two seasons and made just six league starts in 2015-16.
